Hiii! *waves* I was working on my website last night and have decided to include my graphic design capablities as well as my copper creations. This way, my website will be more of an one-stop-shop of my portfolio and basic resume. This giant amethyst is from Bolivia. My Grandma tells me that back in the seventies, you could pull over on the side of the road near Thunder Bay in central Ontario, and pick up raw chunks of amethyst. Wow!

The best part about this cartoon is that it struck a chord with me that 'it's tiresome explaining everything to adults all the time' or something along those lines. How profound and true! I have diary entries from age 14 that say, 'remember exactly how you feel right now, how adult and knowing what they mean. Remember this so when you have children of your own, you'll understand their struggle for independance and their power struggles with you, because they are more mature than meets the eye!'
A quick search online doesn't turn up much about The Little Prince. The felt doll is by R. John Wright and is much too much money! I'd like one, but sadly, there are always more 'responsible' things to spend money on, especially with Christmas just around the corner..

All too often, clients that I see for a crystal healing session are experiencing a difficult relationships in their lives. For example:

· a partner that is very critical and not respectful and is 'never going to change'. Communication is at a stalemate and is going no where.

· finding oneself in conflict with a family member and the relationship has deteriorated to the point that the other person wants no contact.

They are usually frustrated and also feel a sense of powerlessness and helplessness. How can they make the situation better when the other person is unwilling to listen, to consider change, or even be in contact?

The the key to change lies within.

They are responsible - 'response able' - and my job is to help rebalance their energy so their response is clear, harms no one and is positive. Because what is showing up in their present daily life is a legacy of unrecognized, unresolved patterns from the past.

In the last year I read the book 'Zero Limits' by Joe Vitale and I discovered that many of the foundation concepts are similar to those on which I base my own healing work.

The value of accepting that we are a 100% responsible for what is showing up in our world, how we experience our world and for our thoughts. This view moves us from the position of victim and being helpless and powerless to that of the creator of our lives and being totally 'response able'. This is the Hawaiian healing tradition of Ho'oponopono.
What our conscious mind can grasp is a fraction of what our subconscious mind is processing. It is well established that there is a million times more nerve activity in the subconscious than in the conscious mind. This means that what we are aware of consciously is a very minimal part of what is happening at any given moment in our life.
As a result we do not make choices in a fully informed and conscious manner but rather 'they bubble up from our unconscious mind, and when they finally reach the surface of consciousness we take ownership of them' (page 33 from 'Zero Limits') thinking that we just thought of them. In other words, we live our life mostly in automatic mode, replaying tapes held in our subconscious. We are reacting to our life based on past experiences rather that moving forward into our future and creating anew.
How do we move out of this endless subconsciously derived replay of the past? As Dr. Hew Lin explains 'For the ancient Hawaiians, all problems begin as thought. But having the thought is not the problem. ... The problem is that our problem thoughts (are associated) with painful memories.'
He goes on to explain that using our conscious mind or our intellect can't solve these problem thoughts. It can only manage them.

The real solution is to let them go.

When you do ho'oponopono, you are surrendering and calling on grace or Love or a divine force to take the painful thoughts and transform it, clear it, or purify it. When the painful thoughts are neutralized, there is a release and an opening for light and love to fill in, for something brand new to take its place.
You do not have to know what the problem thought is to do ho'onoponopono. You simply have to notice when you are experiencing distress or upset in any way - mentally, emotionally, physically or spiritually. Your responsibility is to clear or to clean the energy of distress with the following:

I love you.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.

For example, if someone says or does something that upsets you, rather than blame the other or point to the other to change or apologize, take full responsibility for how you are reacting. Recognize and accept that for the person to bug you there is something going on in you that is the cause of it. To release your distress, simply say to yourself 'I'm sorry. Please forgive me'. Keep repeating the statements over and over to yourself until you feel relief. Be aware that 'doing the process doesn't always mean instant results. The idea isn't to achieve results, but to achieve peace. When you do that, you often get the results you wanted in the first place.'
In saying the four statements, you are giving love and saying you are sorry to yourself and asking forgiveness of yourself for your reaction and for your problem thoughts. And you don't even have to know what those problem thoughts are for the statements to work. In fact, you can do ho'oponopono without any problem focus as a continual clearing of the subconscious.

Ho'oponopono is an engagingly simple and yet very powerful method of clearing the unconscious thoughts and beliefs arising from past memories and wounding in your life which cause imbalance and disease. It invites a letting go of the past, creates freedom, and opens a space to create your life in the present in the spirit of love and compassion for self and others. It is a problem-solving process that is done entirely within yourself.

Art makes the world go round...

So i've been on a stealing kick lately, but it doesn't encompass actual five finger discount; nope, more of a highlight, right-click kinda corrupt liberation if you will. I don't feel guilty about it, and I probably should; I am one of the graphic designers/hobby photographers out there who generally stands up for supporting the arts and helping out the fellow artists; But I too have been shamelessly capturing pix of the 'ones that got away' since i'm on a dire budget (read: broke) and just found out that my baby bonus is cut because I *make* over a certain amnt of $ per year - - which is total bullshit. I haven't really made a cent in years, as I'm busy making art to showcase and sell (read: buy my art! ;) but my husband wrote me off as a dependant, so as far as the government is concerned, i'm 'making' money. What gives!? We're what you'd call 'house poor' and I have zero dollars. Perhaps someone will hire me to do what I do best: copy and paste, draw and glue crystals to things while writing about other hair brain ideas that just might make this diy world all the brighter! Please forgive me cyber lights...

I will persevere with my goal of creating a successful 'studio' and gallery of my artwork. I will persevere at creating new works of art even with my little boys demanding my attention on every waking moment. I'll try and INCLUDE them in the creative process!

I don't know how I didn't discover this man until yesterday - You'd think after all the hours I've spent online researching copper/bronze and crystal sculpture, wire techniques and admiring other copper wire artists' work, that I would have stumbled upon the amazing Mr. Stoller. Nope! Instead, in my inbox I got notice from my IONS mailing list that his book, Frozen Light was on sale for the next week. So, I click the link to visit his website, knowing from the email header that it had something to do with quartz crystals.

OMG. Breath-taking. I love this man's mind! what a visionary! He works with HUGE quartz crystals, and really knows his stuff.

Jon Beinart is crafty. He uses Gloobee babies in alot of his sculptural art. I have about 30 of these dolls in a trunk in my parents' basement on the other side of the country. Perhaps I could incorporate them into my copper wire designs somehow lol :)

Here’s the story of how I gave up on my marketing career, started seeing auras, and met up with David Friedman at a rock and gem show and learned to become a better Rock Doctor. This gives a behind the scenes view of why I started Positively Stoned Karma Correction Tools for Meditation and discusses the large-scale healing potential of the New Consciousness and Awareness movement!

Simply put the goal is not to be high or happy all the time; but to be present and aware. And this means present to whatever is real and true for you right now. Gabrielle Roth’s (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gabrielle_Roth) definition of ecstasy is to embody 100% what you feel. Having said this, to be weeoing at a lost love is to be in ecstasy?

To be able to access and express one’s deepest feelings at any given moment is to be on the road to joy. If that feeling happens to be fear, sadness, hate, envy, the best way out is through. If you repress, resist, or deny these feelings, you extend their life. (“What you push against, you’re stuck to” – W. Erhard). Let them flow through you, and you let them go through you, and be gone.

As I tell my clients, Feelings Are Information. You suppress them at your own peril. And trying to suppress or hold back all these tears, and fears, and rage and sadness – takes SO much energy! And speaking for myself, I can’t hold back any longer!
I can’t hold back the tears – for the suffering I see in the world, even in the past few months. And it’s not “over there” anymore. There IS no “over there” there. And no “them” either. I’m sick of this lie! The technology revolution disproves it. Earthquakes; denial of a homeland; bigotry; ethnic murders; they all happen right here on your iPhone; on my computer screen; in our home!

I can’t hold back my fear – I tremble for our future. I tremble for the earth, just as she, in her own fear or rage, is now trembling and quaking all over.
I can’t hold back my rage, rage at the machinery of greed that has divided and conquered us. I’m mad we live in a world still scared enough and dumb enough to deny that unless we are all taken care of here, none of us are safe. I’m mad at the closed-mindedness that has turned this nation into a bunch of paranoid warring tribes, each as closed-hearted as the other. You know what? We need all of us! Yeah—the reactionaries and right wing extremists too. (All that passion and vitality!) Instead of rejecting them, take a look inside at what you reject in yourself – because we need all of you, too!

And I know anger is the last taboo.. But listen – When Peter Finch in the movie “Network” in the famous scene in which he extols his audience to open up their windows and shout, “I’M MAD AS HELL, AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WINDtlPXmmE) and then you saw people doing it – you think there was no joy in that? (Try it sometime!) Joy means letting go! A good primal scream feels, well, GOOD! And the way to let “negative emotions” go is to let them GO! Explode out of you – like with a cathartic exorcism on the dance floor! Like a power you can put to damn good use!

Even hate is just vital energy in need of transformation. And the way to transform it is to first let it form.
I’m tired of pretending I’m not who I am, just to live up to someone else’s expectation. Just like gay people who can’t pretend anymore in order to please mom and dad, I can no longer pretend I’m “normal”, because you and I, we’re all dying of normal.

I’m tired of pretending I’m not, at heart, an Ecstatic!

And I can’t hold back the Love anymore. Sometimes I just want to tell my clients how much I care about them, and how much I hate to watch them suffer at their own hand; and how much I love them.
So tell me -- What are you holding back? What emotion do you disallow yourself, condemn in yourself, try to rise above or squelch? What urge? What are you pretending to be that you’re not?
What wave inside of you are you trying to hold back because you’re afraid it will carry you away? All your disgust, all your rage, all your sadness and your fear too – it’s all good.
You and I need to give our all by letting all of us out! Like for instance -- what have you left unsaid today? When have you held back when you wanted to say “I love you”? Or, “You can’t talk to me that way!” Or “That hurts me when you say that”? What has gone unspoken? Like, “I’m scared!” Or, “I need a hug!” Or any sentence that begins with the words, I need; I wish; please; I’m sorry? How many of these words have died a silent death in your throat?

Get it all out –- let it all out, and what’s left is Love.

Oh my goodness, the talent of this woman has swept over me... how inspirational! I especially like how she is able to capture movement using simple wire. Elizabeth Berrien's designs are life sized, which makes it that much more incredible.

I also love her wire art vs wire sculpture discussion; it's a matter of opinion, but I agree. Wire art sounds 'dumbed down'. She also says the two major elements to be aware of in wire sculpture are design and structure. Design is the form and impact of the wire sculpture; what it looks like. Structure is the degree to which it holds together.

Personally I choose to work with copper wire; If I use a different type it is a prototype or study and would be priced accordingly. I love how much copper is conductive; the energy of a stone is amplified or harnessed, depending on it's structure and relationship with the elements in the crystal.

Discovering your Life Purpose

Although I don't agree with Steve Pavlina 100% of the time, he does have some good points that can assist each of us on our somewhat foggy path..

Here's the part that made me smile this morning:

1.Take out a blank sheet of paper or open up a word processor where you can type (I prefer the latter because it’s faster).

2.Write at the top, “What is my true purpose in life?”

3.Write an answer (any answer) that pops into your head. It doesn’t have to be a complete sentence. A short phrase is fine.

4.Repeat step 3 until you write the answer that makes you cry. This is your purpose.

oh, if only it were that easy. The life coaches always ask you, 'If you could do anything with no possibility of failure, WHAT would you do?' And if you've never considered the question before, you feel silly because you don't have an answer. This is where I would tell you, 'Just trust in God.'

Is Iboga the Tree of Life? The Key to Social Change?

This week I listened to a Bwiti Shaman from Gabon in West Africa, attempt to clear the obscurity surrounding Iboga and Ibogaine. Is it illegal or not? Does it heal or not? Can you get it in Canada? Is it just for questers and seekers? What are the risks? How will it help ME?

It's curious that here in the western world, we selfishly believe 'science-based' theory that we are conscious, sentient beings with knowlege ..but nothing else in the world of nature is like us with this ability to think or reason or teach.

When you consider the timeline of history before man, when the world was moving and growing 'into place' as we see it now, we are a relatively young experiment on the planet as a species. Some of the dinosaurs had a short-lived stint on this timeline as well.

The Animal, Mineral and Plant Kingdoms have developed a symbiotic meshwork of inter-species relationships with diplomacy, where certain plants have been given the role as diplomats and teachers that work with human species to assist us with our evolution.

We can know with certainty that foods (whether root bark, mushrooms, minerals like copper, iron etc) helped springboard certain animals to evolve more rapidly or in another direction. Maybe it's not strictly instinct like previously believed. Perhaps the plants taught animals new skills and abilities as well, which shaped their evolution.

The question is: Does Iboga have a message for me?

Oh my goodness, the creativity is exploding off the mark in 2010..wow, I can't describe the magical and amazing direction the Prayer Wheels are taking. The spirals and loops are so soothing to twist; I lovingly string each chip bead along the path of the copperwire, and a calm falls over me, as if i'm being directed to share what's been called in Damanhur, 'Selfic Technology'. Fresh herbs and whole food remedies are always preferable over packaged herbs or supplements, since they have a much higher potency and frequency and your body can absorb more of their value.
Of note: Lemon is ideal for balancing acid-alkali. Add it to your water (drink more water!), tea, salad dressings helping maintain a natural internal climate at a PH level which supports healthy bacteria. I also love putting fresh spearmint into my water bottle. It's like mother nature's jolt cola.

3. Start out slow and steady – One of the reasons so many determined people lose their momentum after just a few weeks is because they try or push too hard. Often, they'll put their rune stones or crystals away or cease going to their reiki or sacral cranial appointments because something stops their progress and their commitment. Tell yourself, and remind yourself that it's ok to nurture yourself :)

4. Get some bodywork done – As well as your subtle energy body, often your deep tissues need some hands-on therapy done to make routines easier and to see results faster. Here’s why. As we age or suffer injury (whether minor or major), the muscles and their protective sheath (called the fascia) bind up around the tender spots to protect you from further injury. The problem is that the tissue inside your body acts a lot like the tissue on the surface of your body. And you end up with scar tissue in various places in your back, knees, elbows, etc. What’s worse, scars by their nature have no elasticity – the stuff that allows muscles to stretch and strain during work outs, and that ultimately enables you to get stronger and more fit. So if you leave those nasty little adhesions untreated AND you begin to workout with gusto, you will probably get injured. :( Be gentle with your mind and heart as well, although there isn't scar tissue there, our bodies react to our emotions. Be kind to your inner child!

5. Stick with it – On average, it takes eight weeks to form a habit, good or bad. So, as you start your wellness program you will be setting yourself up for success if you commit firmly to eight weeks – no matter what. Once you make it to your goal, your mind and body will be tuned to crave the cardio charge, nervous system 'spark' and muscle making moves. You will really begin to enjoy your time working with crystals on others or yourself, or on the running path.

6. Create a space within yourself and your living environment for Harmony, Self-Love, and Joy.
Daily, try to give thanks, pray, welcome health into your life with healthy affirmations and bless the abundance in your life.

So how you gonna kick it? Gonna kick it root down! Strong roots make for a strong foundation & growth!

How do you tune into the root chakra? And how does it affect your mind, body and spirit?
The Root Chakra connects you to your other energy centers, taking grounded energy from mother earth. Chakras describe the energy centers in the core of your body. They have different colors, emotion, energy and physical manifestations.
The enhancement of root chakra awareness gives you the choice between
• Energy blocks and/or movement
• Health or dis-ease,
• Connect or disconnect in your physical, emotional, energetic and/or spiritual self.

What are your roots? How do you grow them?
Main issue: survival.
Color: red.
What can my root chakra do for me?
Provide stability, ground you, bring about prosperity, ensure you feel perfectly right where you're perfectly supposed to be; enhance your livelihood and provide wellness to your physical health.

How do you tune into your Root Chakra? How do you Ground yourself?

Many of us have a difficult time staying grounded (lost in your own thoughts/daydreaming/ hard time concentrating/can't hold a relationship or job...sound familiar??)
Often, simply carrying a good grounding crystal in your pocket can work wonders. It is so near your Base and Sacral Chakra...they can assist you without needing much effort.

WHAT can crystals DO for me?

You must charge or employ your crystal to pull off these good deeds. It's like a cosmic phone card. Cleanse. Sit and meditate with your stone for 10-15 mins. Then speak aloud what it is that you would like for it to do for you. Be specific. Leave out the negatives (such as 'no more war' how about 'peaceful environment in my office' instead.)

Remember to keep an eye on them around water. They've been known to jump. I've lost countless crystals on the mountain snowboarding. It always cracks me up, 'I'm going Hooome!'

I'll share a few quick stories of mine: I have had a smoky quartz heal burns instantly.
I've also charged up crystals using a didjeridoo, crystal bowls, etc and have found that they have an amazing ability to replay sounds in your mind's eye when programmed this way. Amazing.
I've had clients weep with joy in my arms after a session. One woman figured out why her soulmate hadn't found her yet. Another restless client could finally sleep. Although, I've also had clients fall asleep within minutes of the rocks on their bodies :P
One woman was reacquainted with her estranged daughter thanks to labradorite and an amethyst Prayer Wheel. Another client remembered how to meditate suddenly...words can't describe how magical it was to hear that!

Mixing and Matching your Crystals

MIXING AN MATCHING YOUR CRYSTALS..wise? unwise? dangerous?

I've been asked this question alot lately so I thought I could attempt to explain some properties and theories behind 'combos' ;)
Sometimes the energy vibration with different cystals works in resonance with eachother and can strengthen the healing powers of each other. Sometimes they can counter-balance eachother, and sometimes work against each other too; This is why most healers remove their jewellery when working on you; Or will slip on a certain necklace or ring to assist in their work :) This is also why a healer may be wearing a certain colour the day they work with you.
It's simply that certain crystals have different vibrations and they may be working for different things/purposes. Indeed most vibrational healing work leaves you feeling a little off, but that's because it's working! Have a glass of water! Eat some chocolate! :) If something feels wrong, simply change it, remove stones one at a time until it just feels right. Place a rose quartz on your heart to open it up to healing energies from other crystals.

Here is an example of a mix and match combo:

To Release The Past, using a somewhat conflicting Jade and Black Onyx combo:

Onyx is one of the most powerful protection stones. It will absorb and transform negative energy. Because of this quality people find it helpful in relieving stress and for emotional stability.

It's one of the first (root chakra) grounding stones; accordingly, it encourages connection to material goals and to determination in realizing them.

The black onyx is strongly associated to Saturn, and this stone works most positively for those with a strong Saturn in their natal charts. Although this may include people born under the sign of Capricorn, it's not limited to them. In India onyx was commonly worn to cool the ardors of love.

THIS is where the conflict between the energies of onyx and jade stem, because the jade works with the heart chakra, and encourages unconditional love and brings love- the Oynx may be very helpful for people who can't let go of past relationships (sometimes even long after they're over.)

Onyx's value in such situations is that it can help to bring us into contact with our actual realities, and assist us in gradually releasing all that is not in harmony with our present lives.

SO.. while it is important to consider which crystals are beside others, you can change the order as quickly and slowly as you like. Often I've found crystals rolling off my client in their subtle way of telling me, 'my work is done here.' before I considered it so. A quick pendulum reading, and they are always right!

1. Try to keep crystals that are roughly the same colour together
2. Try not to mix the opposites, but its like every other organic healing modality: Go with your intuition.
3. Listen to and feel how your crystals vibrate and mediate with them because they want to work with you.

Place your crystals in plants at home, bathe them in the sunlight and moonlight (read up which method for which stone). When in doubt, do a quick google search on Crystal Healing Properties, but mostly, play and discover which of your combos will work best for you :)

The Green Trend - and the ecosystems in our Selves

I heard it expressed really well today: the topic of the Greening of America(s) and the very trendy act of businesses to advertise that they are becoming more socially/environmentally green or conscious.
It was an extended metaphor, about protecting the ecosystem... and the potential 'burn out' of juggling too much while fighting the 'good fight'.
The article then posed the question: How is YOUR ecosystem? The ecosystem inside of you. The mind-spirit-body combination that feeds and supports and nourishes you.

Do you feel burned out? Is your fire burning low?
When you put it that way, it makes complete sense to tap into the Universal Life Force Energy, because it never runs out of steam. Your inner ecosystem can flourish and thrive if you make the conscious decision to welcome the Chi or Holy Spirit, or prana or Life Force Energy into your life, and indeed into each of your chakras.

Reflect on this.

Your THROAT CHAKRA

Do you get a sore throat from time to time? Or does your throat feel tight at times? Do you feel neck pain during stressful times?
Do you have trouble finding your voice or the words...to describe your experiences/a.k.a. challenges?

Focus on your Throat Chakra may just do the trick.

Introducing the 5th Chakra... and its connection to the other chakras. Because most often I see in clients a weakened throat chakra in direct result of an over or under active solar plexus chakra -usually stemming from childhood hurt. :(
Chakras describe the energy centers in the core of your body. They have different colors, emotion, energy and physical manifestations. Focusing on the Throat Center – you can use movement, energy awareness, journaling, meditation, interactive exercises, discussion and art.

By enhancing and paying special attention to the energy wheel of light in your Throat Chakra - You are gifting yourself the choice between

• energy blocks or movement;

• health or dis-ease;

• connect or disconnect in your physical, emotional, energetic and spiritual self.

It's as simple as Madonna's old hit, "Express yourself". Be kind to your urge to express yourself. If you truly respect someone, sometimes voicing your concern or opinion gives you release, and if you love someone enough to show them your anger/passion, often the end results are amicable. Keeping it all inside often has disastrous results. Often it is YOUR problem with a situation or person, but by voicing and expressing how feelings and emotions and how you think it affects your spirit, you WILL feel a renewed sense of being refreshed and release.

How can you express your inner world and embrace it’s reflection?
Main issue: communication, expression.
Color: blue.
Goals: vitality, strength of will, sense of purpose.
Right: to speak
There is no right or wrong way to activate, speed up or slow your throat chakra. But after 20 minutes of meditation with a blue lace agate or a sodalite stone or lapis lazuli on your throat chakra, Push the consciousness you have in your mind an heart together into your throat chakra, and then gently send it down towards your hip bones for grounding.

You might be surprised at how absolutely wonderful you will feel afterwards.
*Drink some water and eat some chocolate if you're feeling like your head is a bit in the clouds. You'll feel great.

An Inspirational LOVE Story

I read something the other day that has reverberated through me for the past days, so much so that I wanted to share it with you. I won't get it word for word, but it speaks volumes about creating a Zen atmosphere in your love life; The greatest relationships focus more on 'that thing we share together' instead of 'how much love/attention you pay me'. It enables and empowers you to see the potential in your partner to become a 'Wise old man, someday' or a 'Wise old woman some day' and to gently fall in love over and over again.

A man and woman married couple (not that it matters! *giggle*) attended a yearlong retreat in the late 80s, where they had very little contact with eachother. They lived in separate rooms, had no physical contact and really only had a few hours worth of conversation during the entire year.

In relationships so often we focus on the amnt of time shared together even if the quality of that time is superficial. Often we gauge the health of our relationships by how many calls or emails we receive or send, how often we make love each month and how often we are home for supper with the family. They may be significant measures, but they are insufficient for a relationship to fully be balanced. True strength of a relationship comes from a shared inner connection, a bond of love, deep caring and commitment.
Anyway, this couple, every day at 5 pm they would shift their attn from the contemplations that were the focus of the retreat, and would simply HOLD eachother in HEART and MIND. They would merge together like two spheres of light, resting the in the light of each other's love, like 2 beings sharing one heart, looking out thru the other's eyes. It was often a deeply moving and affirming connection that left the both of them uplifted and amazed.

Looking back at the depth of the connection they felt w eachother, they described it strangely as 'the most intimate year of their lives together.'

They suggest when you are physically apart from your partner (business, travel..) once reunited, link up heart to heart. Reach out to eachother from your heart and let yourself merge and share a common heart and core.
Even if you are apart for some time, when you are back together, it IS possible to feel closer then ever before. Simply carry a sense of deep connectedness with eachother and use this example as inspiration :)
Indeed, through self-reflection, heartfelt listening, loving inquiry, & mutual understanding, we all have the ability to move deeper in our relationship toward a more dynamic balance. Manifest it!

Oh! And some info to add on the complex Heart Chakra:
Your heart chakra has 3 parts: one is the left, another is the right, and the third is the center.
This emcompasses Universal Love, Love on Oneself/Self-Esteem and Heart Purpose.
Spend some time reflecting on this information.

*sigh* I'll try really hard to remember this story while rearing 2 boys under 3 years old..

For everyone who has lived through or seen Physical or Emotional Trauma

Have you lived through or seen: Physical trauma: An accident? Surgery? or Emotional trauma: A divorce? Death in the family? Job loss?
Do you know that trauma can result in:
Headaches, backaches, trouble falling or staying asleep, general anxiety, cardiac and arterial problems, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, stomach and digestive problems, memory lapses, trouble with concentration, intense panic, rage, loneliness, isolation and low self esteem :(

Unfortunately for many people, these symptoms can last for months or years, even after you have physically healed.

Is it possible to heal "chronic" trauma? YES. But how?

One of the most effective ways for healing trauma is to first decide you'd like to heal, and secondly, be gentle with yourself. Take your time healing. It's not a race to see how quickly you can be 'back to normal' because these experiences help shape and define us. Everything changes.

In fact, when we change our thought patterns from feeling like a victim of life, into a survivor who has been blessed with challenges (that we can handle! You're handling it right now!) You can start to feel better right away, because you are reprogramming your mind.

Your new mantra can be:

I am a wealth of health and wellness.

I am a human Being, seeking well-Being.

Sit and meditate awhile with your crystals. Express, out loud, that you'd like to move forward from your trauma, and that you respect each of the necessary small steps forward. Each step is a blessing and can be a prayer.
If it makes you feel better, you can well up your hurt, anger and frustration and place it inside of the lattice of the crystal. It won't cry! It won't hurt your gemmy friend.
The many ways that crystals are able to help mankind is a gift from God. Be sure to cleanse your crystal on an amethyst or among hematite.

Try repeating these positive personal mantras:

My eyes have sparkle and I feel so good that I smile for no reason at all.
I have an abundance of energy. I am perfectly where I'm supposed to be. Right. Now.

Simply, 'Right. Now' slowly repeated, can bring you into a lovely realm of centered oneness with All That Is.
Health is so much more than not being sick. It includes being free of all pain, with all of your brain and body working the way it was meant to work.

Basic Chakra Colours

~ Did you know that your Chakras can change colors?

If you're angry, your second chakra might be vibrating a fiery red hue. But if you're simply feeling content, your second chakra might be vibrating a butter yellow or sky blue. Your second chakra could be any color, depending on what's going on all around you.
Chakras can also contain several different colors at the same time. For example, if you're in a new romantic relationship, your fourth chakra might be vibrating with spring green, with some yellow and gold. The spring green might indicate the freshness of the new relationship. The yellow could be your enthusiasm for what's happening in your life. And the gold could indicate the high vibration of manifesting this healthy relationship as spirit. So your chakras can contain a variety of colors, depending on what's going on in your life and spirit.

Chakra colors can also be affected by the energies of other people. It is common to have the color of another person’s energy in a chakra. Having someone else’s energy in one of your chakras can create many problems, including confusion, inner unrest and even health problems.

Your chakras can potentially contain any one of the million color variations in the universe. So it is a mistake to squeeze chakra colors down into an over-simplified, ‘cookie-cutter’ system.

As you become more aware of chakras, keep in mind...chakra colors can change, chakras can contain different colors at the same time, and there can also be colors from the energy of other people inside any chakra. Here are some themes which can help guide the interpretation process:

RED: lifeforce, survival, raw passion, anger, frustration, menstruation, determination, sense of importance, feeling overwhelmed by change; Stimulating, arousing, encourages action, passion, energy, strength, blood flow (not good on swollen or throbbing injured body parts..use blue stones there!)

ORANGE: sensuality, physical pleasure, emotional self-expression, creativity, lacking reason, lacking self-discipline, health, vitality, well-being, happiness, confidence and fertility.

YELLOW: mental alertness, analytical thought, happiness, optimism, child-like, ego driven, thinking at expense of feeling, personal power boost, self worth, counters depression and helps digestion.

GREEN: healing for self and others, peace, nurturing, new growth, fear, need for security, jealousy and envy, balance, emotional connection with others, stimulates the liver.

BLUE: verbal communication, freethinking, relating to structure and organization, emphasis on business, male energies, sadness, possibilities, relaxation, calm, communication, stimulates kidneys and bladder.

PURPLE: wisdom, authoritative, female energies, matriarchal, sense of superiority, control, imagination, intuition, peace, intuition, brain activity, cleanses lungs and skin, boosting brain activity and clairvoyance.

BROWN: grounding, down to earth, practical, male energies, invalidating, emphasizing body and denying spirit, feeling worth-less

BLACK: issues relating to death, hatred, lack of forgiveness, unresolved karma, dark intentions, shadow games, needing compassion for self, grounding to earth, feeling a natural sense of connectedness, connecting you to Earth energy. Eliminating pain.

GOLD: high spiritual vibration, integrity, respect, freedom, clear seeing, integrating spirit and body, creating as spirit .

Much theory about crystals and their hue has to do with their effectiveness in healing.

In fact, quite often, a colour that is your favourite, may well have the qualities associated with it that you especially admire..or perhaps lack. There are overlapping meanings with colours of course, so take into consideration individual needs/experience and uses. (example: Blue promotes self-expression whereas yellow promotes general interaction with people.)

Try changing the colour of your pillow case and take notice of any subtle differences.
If you are feeling particularly flighty/floaty, try a dark scarf around your waist. I've found this especially successful in protecting myself from negative energy while working on others. It can keep you grounded and in 'the now'.
Hats of various individual colours also can affect the way you think! Think about that for a second, and have fun experimenting. Please share your findings and experiences here with me!

Life Force Energy over the eons has been known by many names which most of us have become familiar, different people have migrated into our countries bringing with them this shared knowledge. We talk about energy in many ways however to really understand its significance and importance in our lives it becomes necessary to simplify the understanding. More ancient wisdom and knowlege has been shared in the past decade, than ever before in history. It's exciting times, folks!

What is energy? Simply put, Life Force Energy is a force that fuels our bodies and minds, sustains and keeps us alive. You can control your own energy! It's that same burst of energy when you see someone whom you haven't visited with for awhile. That same energy you get when you open a present!

It's an invisible power, the life force energy is around us at all times coming from the food that we eat, the air that we breathe, the water that we drink and the earth and the universe which nurtures our food as well as supplying us the energies we are able to absorb for growth and self-healing.

With this in mind, we must be aware that not all energies are beneficial for our health. Some energies have negative effects and should be understood. Anything that does not match our vibrations will damage our bodies. This awareness is growing; more people are switching to foods that are organic and trying to be physically fit. As understanding in our community grows, public pressure will force change in our medical institutions and food industry.
The repercussions of using tainted foods and medicines affect us all including the very wealthy, health should come before wealth (and yet we maneuver in stressful situations every day...)
The implications of blocked energy flow are significant, causing poor health, low energy & mental disorders. The flow of the Life Force Energy within our bodies must be constant, flow easily and not be blocked or sapped.
Body parts that are starved of this life giving energy will break down and eventually become dis-eased and may cause major health issues like cancer. Many others blocks can be the cause of extreme chronic pain, headaches and untold problems that the doctors cannot clear.
The degree of sensitivity that each person feels will help with the location of energy blocks. MOST of us are more sensitive than we ever thought possible and USING THIS SENSITIVITY, we are able to locate energy blocks, with practice. Each and every one of us has the power to locate and self-heal problem areas that block the flow of our Life Force Energy.

Instructions for Sacred Geometry Meditation

The patterns and symmetry of crystals enable you to experience transformational geometry. We are all healers, every one of us has the ability to heal ourselves and others.

Let go. Do nothing. Be aware. Don’t resist. Everything will change. It always does.

1. Hold your crystal or hang a Sacred Geometry mandala so that its centre is at the level of your eyes.

2. Sit with your spine straight. If this is not possible, find a comfortable position.

3. Breathe in and out slowly, until your breath flows naturally.

4. Look into the centre of the Sacred Geometry symbol, trying not to blink, if you can. Just keep your sight focused on the centre. You may place your crystals or stones on the mandala if it will help you to illustrate the areas that need healing.

5. Gaze at the centre of the mandala or your crystal for 15 minutes. You don't have to time yourself. This is for you.

6. Close your eyes.

7. Let the inner Sacred Geometry imprint gradually guide you within.

8. As the imprint absorbs your awareness, you will not be able to tell if the symbol is in you or if you are within the symbol. This is the state of One Love and completion.

9. Be grateful for the experience and the release of the Creative flow within your being.

10. Journal or reflect on this meditation. Drink a large glass of water, again giving thanks for this opportunity.

Luckily, for lovers of crystals like me, the field of energy medicine has undergone a great transformation. One of the most mind-bending discoveries of the century was that consciousness plays a part in the appearance and structure of reality.
This places the 'mind of man' at a level of connectivity with the non-physical world of waves/particles and physical reality in a way never recognized before.

In the explicit order of things, the physical world, other mind-altering awakenings are happening too.

Common man has learned more in the last decade than sages and ancient medicine men have over centuries, and this is exciting! These are very very exciting times. Einstein’s theory of relativity removed the remainders of the Newtonian supporters when he declared that space is not three-dimensional, and time not linear/not separate entities, but were unified into one field that would be called ‘space-time.’ One Love, folks! Bob Marley knew what he was talkin' bout, HOW long ago? :D

A new paradigm of perspective has emerged that removes the boundaries separating objects and the spectral distinction between matter and mind. And modern physics re-unites matter with energy! We're just beginning to understand that matter and energy are just different aspects of one thing.
Within this new realization, mind emerged as an interactive, affective and unifying factor in the very fabric of the universe. Incredibly, mind and matter also became ONE and this occurred as a result of a unifying matrix principle of the wave and particle.
Is it a hologram? Are our minds connected to matter so much more than is measurable?

I find all this so fascinating, especially when because I'm involved in energy work. It makes subtle energy healing that much more real, and necessary.

Browsing etsy.com the other day, I saw a 'colour your own mandala' and thought isn't that great, never too early to start kids on the right path to spirituality and the whole 'you are what you think' theory.

I find with raising my youngest son who is just beginning to talk, that it's so wonderful to communicate using questions. When you ask alot of questions, you not only look smart, but you also look interested!

The Crown Chakra is located at the top of the head.

The life force that flows through us keeps us alive. The physical body pushes this force though pathways called chakras, meridians and nadis. It surrounds us in a field of energy called the aura.
